The Casper Police Department has arrested three people after dozens of packages were stolen from homes over the weekend, and police want to get those parcels back to their rightful owners.

The packages were stolen between Thursday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 7. Anyone who believes their package was stolen should contact the police department and send an e-mail with confirmation of the purchase order and delivery.

"Once our team confirms we have your items, they will be returned as soon as possible," spokeswoman Rebekah Ladd said in a statement Monday.

Emails should be sent to the property evidence team at jwarne@casperwy.gov. To reach them by phone, call 307-235-8370.

Anyone who had a package stolen is encouraged to submit any relevant home video surveillance of the crimes to the police department.

A man and two juveniles were arrested in connection to the crimes. They were not identified in the news release.

“Sadly, the holiday season is a common time for criminals to steal mail packages from people’s homes,” said Casper Police Sergeant Mitch Baker. “Thankfully, there are a few things consumers can do to help keep their presents safe. Most mail delivery carriers allow you to track your package so you know when it’s been delivered but many also give you the option to schedule a delivery time. When ordering, some retailers even give the option to require a signature upon delivery. Together, we are committed to putting an end to these types of crimes in our community.”
