I was one of those who grew up watching Charlie Brown celebrate Thanksgiving on network TV.

I was not one of those who got upset when it was announced that it would no longer be a yearly event.

Modern technology has changed the way we get our TV shows and even the way we read newspapers and books. Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving will always be out there and people can watch it anytime they want.

But there were those people who argued in favor of tradition.

Those traditionalists will be happy to know that Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving is back on regular broadcast television. Just like the old reruns of The Lawrence Welk Show - it has been picked up by PBS.

In a statement PBS announced, “On Wednesday, Apple bowed to the backlash, announcing it had teamed up with PBS for ad-free broadcasts of “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (on Nov. 22) and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (on Dec. 13).”

But you don't have to wait until it airs. Remember, this is a new era of technology.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving started streaming on Apple TV+ on November 18, and will be available for free through November 27. A Charlie Brown Christmas will stream on Apple TV+ on December 4, and will be available for free from December 11 through December 13.

You will be able to watch it for free or pay. Either way, you can watch it on demand. You can also get it through YouTube and other services, whenever you want to see it.

I have fond memories of sitting on the living room floor at the appointed time to watch Charlie and the gang on the box. Today's kids will grow up with memories of watching it on their phones while driving to grandma's house.
