TRAILER: Mel Gibson Is A Gun-Toting Santa

When I first watched this movie trailer I had no idea what it was really about. The trailer does not come out and say it. But you'll get it.

The movie stars Mel Gibson, and he plays Santa. He leaves a lump of coal for some spoiled rich kid for Christmas. The kid is mad as hell and hires a hitman to go find Santa and take him out.

My favorite line in the trailer happens when the hitman yells "I've come for your head FATMAN!" Santa yells back, "You think you're the first?" It looks like an ugly gunfight after that.

Well, isn't this some dark Christmas humor? I think that's why I love it.

I think I also love the fact that it is as politically incorrect as a movie can be. Bad enough to have a Christmas movie - but then Santa is a gun-slinging, pissed off white guy. Let's get Mel Gibson to star in it. That's like the cherry on top.

The trailer even hints that Santa has been asked by the U.S. military to go on some mission for them. He agrees, but as a one time deal. From the look of it, the elves get involved in that military project too. Not sure what was going on there but I need to find out.

The trailer leaves just enough to make me want to see what the heck is going on. I hope the actual movie does not disappoint.
